OVERVIEW
Amid COVID-19, the ability to get personalized help and dig deep into problems has been the central struggle faced by teachers, parents and students during at-home schooling. In order to mitigate this struggle, Sal created schoolhouse.world to provide free live tutoring to people across the world. Schoolhouse.world's mission is to connect the world through learning and in order to do this we decided that we needed to create a web application to prevent data privacy, security, and storage issues. In November 2020, a group of 9 designers and I met to discuss our brand identity, values, and target users in order to design a platform that resonated with their needs, pain points, and motivations. OUR
VISION
Problem
Statement
How might we leverage volunteers and free resources to safely support the growth of students seeking aid with math, who can't access the help they need through any other means?
My
Work
For this project, I conducted 7 out of 16 user interviews, created my own speedy eight board, eight key user actions, storyboard, paper prototype/ sketches for the landing page, and wireframes for the session page. We came together as a group and voted upon the best ideas from the speedy eights and consolidated them into one board. The sitemap and value proposition canvases were a collaborative effort.
